Volcano Village is nestled in a tropical Hapu'u rainforest and is famous for its profound beauty and tranquility.  Some guidebooks refer to Volcano Village as the most picturesque place in all of the United States.   The weather can change back and fourth within minutes and it is always well advised to bring a jacket and an umbrella.  We don't mind the rain though, because without the rain it would not be as beautiful as it is, and we would have just dry lava rock.
