8/27/09   Thanks for letting us stay in a lovely house.  We had a great time hiking in the Volcano National Park, enjoying the sunset at the end of Highway 130 and Mauna Kea ( Stargazing was fantastic!).  Thai restaurant is highly recommended. 8/9/09   Bea, we want to Thank you for giving us the chance to stay in this warm cozy , lovely , sweet cottage.  We are 6 friends coming all the way from Italy and staying in this places made the journey absolute worth it.  This place is magic, the volcano, the plants, the nice smell of the flowers, the sound of the wind, everything is magic.  Maybe one day life will give us the chance to come back to Hawaii... and in that case it will be a honor for us to come back to your cottage!  Thanks!!  Mahalo... 8/2/09   Hi "B" !... just wanted to thank you for a wonderful stay at the Turtle House!  The house was quaint, adorable, and cozy, and the location was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  I will definitely be gloating about our stay in the rainforest for quite a while :-)  The CDs and books were a thoughtful touch, and the book of travel disasters was hilarious!  The flowers & turtle decor made us smile as well.  Meeting the housekeeper and her son was street , too!  They were very sweet and helped us plan our trip to the end of highway 130 to see the lava flow ( which was absolutely awesome, by teh way).  Our stay at the cute little Turtle House was much too abbreviated though, and should I ever come back here, I'd love to stay again!  Much Thanks!  Frea Mehta and Zarin Mehta, Iamshee Mehta, Allen Mehta, and Lolita Mills.

July 6, 2009   Thank you so much for opening this house, it was such a nice place to stay for 4 days.  We took a Volcano hike, saw lava flow into the ocean , and drove around Hilo.  We went swimming in the hot ponds and the tide pools, which was loads of fun as well.  This house is so peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed sitting outside and using the barbeque ( once or twice :-) ). December 10, 2008  Thank you for your wonderful Turtle House, Bea!  This has been a terrific base of operations to explore the volcano.  the Lava Flows at the seashore and Hilo and points north.  We love the warmth & convenience of Turtle House.  You and your family have created a wonderful home - a real treasure.  Mahalo, The Crawford Jones family, Alan, Eileen & Camila.

My wife and I stayed at Turtle House for 12 days and enjoyed it thoroughly, from waking up in upstairs bedroom surrounded on all 4 sides by green rain forest to the prompt response if we running low on coffee or anything else.

It's quite secluded but still within a good walk of "downtown" Volcano, such as it is.   Appliances, showers, bathrooms all worked well, and the living room was very comfortable for sitting and reading. The lanai, too, when the sun warmed it.  Enjoyed the stock of Hawaiian music CDs.
